The days this week were glossy and cloudless; they arrived like packages of spring sent too early but opened anyway. Morning after morning I have been suprised to open my eyes and see a wing of gold light hanging in the bamboo leaves outside my bedroom window. At Gasworks Park, where these photographs were taken this morning, everyone was out . The old Synthetic Natural Gas plant was a backdrop for father-son soccer games, runners, cyclists, couples kissing on blankets and friends flying model airplanes. Ah.
